My experience with Dr. Soto and his team was A+ from beginning to end.
Firstly, Lori picked me up from the airport,(very late hour, thank you Lori!) she brought me to my hotel, which was suggested. It was beautiful, great service, and incredible breakfast included.

I had two root canals and two 4 piece Bridges. All the work was completed in four days. Lori got me to the dentist immediately when I had pain and whenever I had an appointment. With the DSD concept each patient goes through a quick study process taken by video and pictures in our onsite dental studio, we study the results of the patient talking and acting naturally with the patient and  then based on this we make a mold of their mouth from a wax up, at this time we choose the form and size of the new teeth through Visagism - The Visagism concept helps dental clinicians provide restorations that account not only for esthetics, but also for the psychosocial features of the created image, which affect patients’ emotions, sense of identity, behavior, and self-esteem. These factors, in turn, affect how observers react to patients following treatment.

Then we try the new smile proposal in the mouth, the patient can smile, talk, and evaluate if the new smile is filling their esthetic expectations or if changes need to be made. At this moment all is completely reversible, because we are not touching the real teeth. We do this with acrylic over your real and natural teeth. Digital Smile Design brings true visualization into focus for the patient allowing them to see in real time the final result of the restoration before the dental treatments commences.             

DSD looks at the patient, the personality as well as the entire structure of the face to ensure the result matches with the aesthetic look of the face as well as the personality of the patient. 

Micro Dentistry at DaVinci’s Dental Care

Microscopic, enhanced dentistry (or micro dentistry) allows the team at DaVinci’s Dental Care the ability to see the tiniest details that are simply impossible to visualize with the naked eye or loupes, or glasses with magnification in the lenses.

DaVinci’s Dental Care has taken the lead in Costa Rica with this endeavor into microscopic dentistry. Less than one percent of general dentists in North America use microscopes to perform examinations.

We have selected surgical operating microscopes that give a clear, magnified perspective. This enlarged 3D image facilitates a more accurate diagnosis and precise treatment. Greater visual acuity with the surgical microscope's wide range of magnification, and bright illumination, and removes a lot of guess work that can take place with "eyes only" dentistry. Because many fractures and cavities are too difficult to see with the naked eye or loupes, the microscope strongly assists the team at DaVinci’s Dental Care in spotting the fine dividing line between healthy and unhealthy situations.

Patients can watch as the treatment is performed, if they like, since the microscope projects the image on a monitor in the treatment room. The doctors can also then show and discuss with the patient what is shown under the microscope to explain the treatment plan, removing any doubt or confusion. Higher magnification allows the dentist to see more clearly so that we can identify and correct problems early on, which saves the patient time, money, and ensures a beautiful smile.
